The Ups And Downs Of Slimming World

Another not too bad week.  Really tried to stick to plan all week then on Wednesday night I went to darts - normally for supper we have a tray of sandwiches with salad down the middle which is great for me cos I can pick at that.  This week the landlady had been really busy so she ordered in Pizza and Chips!  So I have to admit I caved and had a couple of little slices.  Was a bit disappointed with myself as I'd been so good all week - on Saturday we went into town and I had a Subway salad (counting the Teriyaki chicken as syns) and a Skinny Latte at Costa.  Went to the cinema on the evening armed with a box of mango and then had Beef and Mushroom from the Chinese on the way home (more syns counted) and I even resisted fried rice and stuck with boiled - not one of my favourite things but hey ho. 

Anyway I managed a 2 1/2lb weight loss so all was not lost - have to really stick to plan this week to make sure it doesn't catch up with me at my next weigh in.  I was Slimmer Of The Week this week too which has given me a bit of incentive to keep at it.  Morrisons have the meat offer on this week where you get £10 of meat for £5 so I've stocked up on 5% mince and chicken breasts.  Hopefully next week I'll have some food pics for you when I get cooking at the weekend!

One Whole Month Since I Joined

Woohoo  I got my head around it this week (star week as well so think my gain last week must have been to do with that).

 I've really stuck to plan - helped by Morrisons Fruit and Veg offer!  I stocked up on loads of fruit and have been having that and a Mullerlight for breakfast.  Salads for dinner mean that I can save my HEB for night time and treat myself to two Hi Fi Light Rocky Road (how I ever lived without these before I just don't know!).  I've been sticking to the EE plan as I find that so much easier to follow and there is no faffing - it's either free or superfree lol

Oh and by the way I had a 3lb loss! which resulted in this little beauty

Ding Ding Week 3!

Oooh what a week it's been.  Tried to be really good this week but then the weekend happened oops!  We went through to Scarborough on Saturday to see Boyzone and I couldn't resist Fish and Chips for my tea.....on a plus note I had them with Mushy Peas (Super Speed and Free).  Suffice to say I enjoyed the concert and the food so if nothing else I had a smile on my face for that reason.  Then on Sunday we went down to the Veterans weekend at the local park and I was tempted by Mr Whippy.  I only put on 1/2lb (what was I saying last week) so think the good days I had must have counteracted the bad and it's not too much to shift again.  Onwards and Upwards!

Second Weigh In Tonight!

Had a bit of a bad week this week, didn't seem to have time to plan anything out and been busy on a night so have picked a bit....me bad!  Only managed to lose 1/2lb this week but on a positive note it's off and not back on so that is something! lol.  Have found a couple of online groups that have loads of recipes available so I think I'll have to start using some of them and see how I go.

One Week In And It's Going Fine!

Well that's the first week in and everything seems to be making sense. 

There seems to have been a few changes even with the EE plan which I used to follow - not a bad thing as it seems there is so much more on it now that is free and I've managed to follow it ok this week - well I think I have as I had a loss.  Waved goodbye to 4 1/2 lb this week so it's smiles all round.  I've mainly been living on simple meals this week but once I get a bit more organised I'm hoping to stock up the freezer with prepared dishes that I can batch cook on a weekend.  Hopefully as I get a bit more into it I'll start posting pics of meals I've made and recipes.

The Trip Begins

Well here I am again beginning my Slimming World journey.  I've followed the plan before and managed to lose maybe a stone or so before falling by the wayside but something feels different this time.  I've been thinking about losing weight again for a while and when a friend told me she had a dream where she saw me losing loads of weight I thought what better motivation is there than that!  This time I feel that I can really do it!  Wish me luck!

This picture is of me at the start of this journey.  I'm not going to tell you how much I weigh but will do a weekly post with my weight losses/gains/maintains (here's hoping it's more of the first one!).
